9. Avoid eating junk foods like pizzas and burgers too frequently.

10. Try to maintain your waistline.

11. If lifting heavy objects, rather than bending over your stomach, bend your knees. Squeezing of the stomach may lead to pushing acid upwards.

12. Avoid eating spicy veggies in your meals, and eat at least two hours before you go to bed.

13. Tension may increase the acid levels to a great extent.
